Suzumiya Haruhi no Tsuisou - 278: Millennium Memorial (Revisited)

In the last "revisited" scene, I went out of my way to reupload the images to Imgur instead of Tinypic. ... This time, I've just got the Tinypic images because changing the URLs takes extra time and I'm lazy. Actual all new content will continue to have images on Imgur instead though. I don't have a whole lot else to say about this update. Still got a huge backlog of pre-translated stuff I'm sitting on. (Audio and screencaps are pending for a chunk of that stuff though, because those are the least fun parts of this project.) It's pretty late right now as I'm writing this, so I'm going to go to sleep now.

??? Somebody: Kyoon!

キョン Kyon: Yo, where have you been?
ハルヒ Haruhi: The gym. Some big shot cancelled his speech, so they had some Open to All Band Concert instead.
キョン Kyon: Ah, that... How was it?

ハルヒ Haruhi: Pathetic. They were all high school students who didn’t have time to prepare anything. They were all a bunch of tryhards, the performance level was way below my expectations.

ハルヒ Haruhi: Oh, there was one interesting performance though. The band wasn’t anything special, but they had the Baton Club as backup dancers!
キョン Kyon: ... Ah.

ハルヒ Haruhi: At least try to act surprised. That’s hardly normal, is it? I have no idea who thought of it, but I like how they think. The music and choreography were totally in sync!
It was my idea originally, it was just a spur of the moment thing at the time, but I think it’s now better off as a secret I take to the grave.
The CQD Brigade, huh... Feels like a lifetime ago now. It’s almost nostalgic.

ハルヒ Haruhi: ... How about you?
キョン Kyon: Not telling.

ハルヒ Haruhi: I give you my sympathies.
キョン Kyon: What makes you think I need them?

ハルヒ Haruhi: You don’t?
キョン Kyon: There’s still time before we announce our results.

ハルヒ Haruhi: Hmm... You’d probably get away with taking photos with your classmates. It’s not like we’d be able to tell anyway.
I've already got one, not that I'd admit that to her.

ハルヒ Haruhi: It’s not like the rules were that detailed, you should use your head for once.
Hm? Wait... Classmate?
キョン Kyon: ... That means that taking a photo with you is fair game, right?

ハルヒ Haruhi: Huh?
キョン Kyon: There’s no rule against you being one of our conquests.

ハルヒ Haruhi: ... Heh, now that’s using your head. Alright, just for coming up with that loophole, I’ll let you take a photo with me.
キョン Kyon: Oh, really?

ハルヒ Haruhi: I just said I would.

キョン Kyon: Okay, here we go.
ハルヒ Haruhi: Hold it, am I even in frame? We should squeeze together a bit closer.
キョン Kyon: You think so?
ハルヒ Haruhi: ... You’re hopeless, I’ll give you a once in a millennium special service.

キョン Kyon: ...!
ハルヒ Haruhi: Hurry up and take it already.
キョン Kyon: O-okay, I’m taking it. 3, 2, 1...


ハルヒ Haruhi: ... Well, I guess that can commemorate today?
I let out a slight sigh looking at the photo on my phone.

ハルヒ Haruhi: Still a little bit left until the time limit. Gonna keep up your vain struggle?
キョン Kyon: No, I’m fine. Let’s head back to the meeting spot and get something to eat while we wait for Koizumi. I’m exhausted.

ハルヒ Haruhi: You’re paying?
キョン Kyon: Sure whatever, you coming?

ハルヒ Haruhi: If that’s the case, I guess I might as well accompany you.

She says “I guess I might as well”, but clearly has a spring in her step. Geez, is there no end to this girl’s appetite?
